Gardening Tips for November

With Winter on its way check out our Gardening Tips for November to take your garden through to the new year.

Gather up fallen leaves from roses to reduce blackspot infection next year.
Now is the perfect time to plant tulip bulbs.
Lift parsnips after the first frost as this improves the flavour.
Dig in manure to your vegetable plots in preparation for next year.
Prune apple and pear trees between now and February. Leave plum pruning until midsummer.
Put bubble wrap on the inside of your greenhouse frame to insulate and reduce heat loss.
There is still time to aerate your lawn either with an aerator or garden fork. Also, collect up leaves to help keep the lawn healthy.
